Field Hockey Clinic a Raging Success
Georgia Express will be expanding programs at Shakerag, bringing field hockey, rugby, and cricket to Johns Creek and the Atlanta area. Our launch event was the GXFC Sports Festival November 11. Money raised was split between the Will-to-Live Foundation and the Shakerag Elementary Technology Fund.
Will-to-Live Foundation is a non-profit foundation that is dedicated to preventing teen suicide and improving the lives and “Will To Live” of teenagers everywhere.

About the Clinic
When: Sunday, November 11, Grades K-9 1:00-3:00 PM
Where: Shakerag Elementary School, Duluth, GA (10885 Rogers Circle, Duluth GA 30097)
What: Sponsored by Georgia Express FC, the two hour field hockey clinic consisted of four 20 minute stations where participants will be introduced to the basic fundamentals of field hockey. The boys and girls finished with small-sided scrimmages.
Who: Clinic is open to all boys and girls grades K through 9.
Sticks and balls will be provided. Mouthguard and shinguards are required.
Cost of the clinic is $25 and includes a t-shirt. 100% of the proceeds will be donated. 50% of the proceeds will benefit the Will to Live Foundation and 50% of the proceeds will go towards the Shakerag Elementary School Technology Fund. Make checks payable to Georgia Express FC.

Elle Race – All-American forward at Penn State University, played attack for 8 years on US Women’s National Team
Peggy Engleka – All-American goalkeeper at University of North Carolina, played on the US Women’s National Team for 9 years
Susie Trautwein – Four year starter as defender in both field hockey and lacrosse at University of Virginia
Nori Smith – 4 time letter winner in lacrosse and 3 time letter winner in field hockey as a defender at Old Dominion U
Katie Brenan – Played Division I field hockey at Lafayette College as a midfielder
